Well, milk-less toast would also be good. You would take chances to make it without milk for several reasons. Maybe you are out of milk in the kitchen, and there is no one to get you some milk or else you hate milk. Never mind, you can opt for French toast without milk.

Normally the recipe to make French toast is first getting bread slices soaked in a mixture of eggs, a pinch of salt, vanilla, milk, and cinnamon. Then fry it in a pan.

For me, dipping the bread slices in the mixture is the fun part of cooking.

Sometimes the mixture is made sweet by adding sugar or a kind of syrup. Sugar will give a different touch to the mixture while a syrup like a maple syrup will make it more on the sweet side.

With milk or without milk it can be served with a topping of your choice. Stewed fresh fruit would be a great topping that will give the goosebumps to your taste buds. Do not stick to one topping; you can choose a mixture of toppings to serve your purpose. The toppings would vary from person to person.

Other toppings may include cream cheese, Nutella, bacon, butter, custard or whipped cream.

The bread used should be stale, old and dry. It is recommended to take old bread to absorb more of the mixture. You can buy some bread leave for a few days and wait until it gets stale enough to try out the recipe French toast without milk.

We toast it to dry out the bread that was soaked and to give it a crispy taste.

You can either fry it or toast it. Some prefer toasting because when you toast it, the bread becomes dry on the outside and soft on the inside.

  5. Place the slices on the pan and cook well on both sides.
  6. Serve with any of your favorite toppings.


You also try this out with simply adding the mashed banana to the egg batter along with vanilla, cinnamon, and white sugar or else you can have the batter with beaten eggs, yogurt, honey, and cinnamon.
